Oh good, I’m really glad to see I’m not the only one who ships this. I never write fanfic, but I had an idea for Jack and adult Jamie from the moment I saw the trailer, and the movie set it up nicely. So this may actually be my first fanfic, and I’m glad to see some people would approve of the main couple.

Aw, thank you so much! I’m sorry I didn’t answer this sooner. I need to keep regularly checking my messages. But I really appreciate your nice note.

Thank you all for being so awesome, even though this has taken me an eternity. I was just saying to another reader how much I appreciate all the kind words and the support. I’m working on pulling myself together, and as soon as I can, I’ll get back on track. I’m really thankful that through my writing I’ve crossed paths with some really awesome people. <3

As for DSLO, that’s coming along slowly but surely, and I want to try writing several chapters before I start posting again, because I don’t want this to keep happening. I also have that other project I was referring to before that I’ll be writing at least ten chapters of before I start to post it. There are some similar themes to this one as far as DSLO is concerned, so I hope you guys like it whenever I get it posted. I do promise to finish DSLO, though! I just don’t want to sacrifice quality in the name of quick completion.

The woes of writing

I recently got out of the hospital after the world tried to kill me. I’m not 100%, but I’m feeling a lot better than I did. Even though I had an IV, they stuck me no less than 20 times during my stay for one reason or another, and I feel kind of drained still. I have so much stuff to do still, and my writing has really fallen behind. I was supposed to start some film projects this summer. I’m hoping we can truly begin by the 20th, but we’ll see. I still need certain supplies and help from various people. At any rate, I’m stressed because of it, and I wish I could just take a break for a while and work on my fiction.

Dark Skies was giving me a bit of hell recently. Chapter five is more or less written, but editing is a bitch, and there’s so much I have to clean up, especially in the second half. Because of that, I’ve been putting it off, but I really do want to get it up and running again. I had a few breakthroughs yesterday that may help. In the meantime, I’m doing my best not to get distracted by Gutter, or this other fic idea that I have. I feel awful because I’m doing exactly what I said I wouldn’t, and that’s making everyone wait for months between updates. I know now that I need to have many chapters written before I start releasing them, but it’s too late with Dark Skies. It’s already out there, and I don’t want people to wait a year or more for me to write several chapters.

Anyway, that’s just my little update. So sorry it’s taking me so long. I’m gonna try to have the rough draft of six written soon, in hopes of moving things along. I’m still feeling kind of sick, so I’m not going out tomorrow. That means I might actually get some writing done. Fingers crossed?

Updates on DSLO and a new project

So, I’m working away, but I’m a little frustrated with myself. I have a series of large projects coming up, and I’m feeling stuck on chapter five. It’s actually pretty much written, but it’s very first draft, and I can’t seem to focus enough to polish it. Which sucks, because I need to get six and seven written so that I can maintain that once a month update despite a chaotic filming schedule this summer.

Anyway, that should be done soon. I just feel bad because Dark Skies is still starting, so I’m leaving people confused and hanging. But once I get chapter five out, I will do my absolute best to not let more than a month pass in between updates.

That in mind, I’ve definitely learned my lesson. I’m not 17 anymore, and though I’m very glad my writing has improved since then, it also means that I can’t just crank out a chapter a week like I used to. So my next project, the one I plan to run simultaneously with DSLO, is going to be at least a quarter of the way written before I even start to post it. At the moment, the story is called Gutter, but that could change. I’m currently looking at a late fall release date. We’ll see.

Okay, so this is the last chapter before I have to finish editing. That means Chapter 5 might take a little while to get here. I hope not. After this, the updates should be about once a month, maybe a little sooner if I’m able. I’m trying to write up some buffer since this summer is going to be so crazy busy.

Also, please note that this chapter is very violent. I’ve warned about violence from the start, but I want to remind you of that, just in case.
